“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” ~ Marianne Williamson
More About Me.
Why.
Shannon became a life coach because of her passion for people. She has gained valuable knowledge, insight, and experience coping with her life struggles. Through every crisis and trauma Shannon has faced, she has sought out the answers and the way to move forward to create an optimistic perspective on life. Seeking out the positive in every situation has not always been the easiest thing to do. It has always created a new sense of connection, compassion, and desire to assist others to overcome their challenges and come out improved instead of defeated or discouraged.
Shannon overcame a childhood with an alcoholic drug-addicted parent who was abusive and adulterous, an unfaithful partner, and financial struggles. She’s raised three wonderful children. She admits she’s made her share of mistakes and definitely hasn’t been a perfect parent but has committed herself to stop the cycle of unhealthy patterns in her family.
Coaching Methods.
Shannon facilitates her clients by drawing from multiple established techniques that she has become skilled at throughout her career and life. She leads her clients to a greater understanding of how their mind works, how to shift thinking that’s not serving them, ways to integrate the mind and body to finally find freedom, success, and happiness. The transformation clients experience allows them to shift their entire life in positive measurable ways.
For Fun.
Outside of coaching Shannon she enjoys spending time with her husband, her favorite adventure partner, and the love of her life. She enjoys exercising, hiking, cooking, eating healthy, spending time outdoors, scuba diving, and traveling. Shannon loves volunteering several times a year taking adults and children with disabilities scuba diving. It is a passion that she and her husband share. By volunteering, they help adaptive divers experience the weightlessness and freedom of being in the water, gain new skills, confidence, self-esteem, and independence. But truly the reward is in volunteering and being part of a team that finds immense joy bringing big smiles to people’s faces. It is challenging work, but the difference that it makes in participants’ lives is worth all the effort!
